[Pkg-kde-talk] kopete and xmms

  (to Christopher, mainly)

actually, the kopete dependency on xmms can't be dropped as easily as
in amarok, since in that case the "Now listening" plugin fails to work
with other players (since libxmms is not present, and thus, the .so
  object can't be loaded).

so, unless I'm overlooking something, we'll have to wait for this:

<Thucydides> dato: post-Sarge, I'm tempted to try splitting out xmms-lib.

and, even then (see #276586 for an example):

<Thucydides> xmms-lib would still pull in libgtk, so hyper-anal KDE
purists would still be upset :)

unless one splits the "Now listening" plugin into a separate
package... (btw, can we close 271880?)

In my opinion, the most fruitful and natural play of the mind is in
conversation. I find it sweeter than any other action in life; and if I
were forced to choose, I think I would rather lose my sight than my
hearing and voice.
