Hello, great work everyone! A happy 3.4 user here...
Just a note about point 2 of the FAQ at=20
http://pkg-kde.alioth.debian.org/docs/faq.html: If the user installed the k=
de=20
metapackage using aptitude, say via "aptitude install kde" or using the=20
curses interface, all the other packages it pulls in will be marked as=20
"automatic". So removing, as in the example given, the kfloppy package,=20
aptitude will also remove kdeutils and kde since they're dependencies are n=
o=20
longer met, but it will also remove ALL of the other kde packages that were=
=20
originally brought in to satisfy the kde metapackage since they are marked =
as=20
auto.
So in some cases it won't be that it only *appears* that kde is being remov=
ed=20
since the user doesn't understand how the kde metapackage works as the FAQ=
=20
suggests, it may be that all the kde packages actually *are* being removed.=
=20
You might want to mention this.
