kdebase 4 status

Hi folks,

I won't be working in KDE4 in the next days, I'll be working in another debian
stuff instead that i have quite delayed...

So, if somebody wants to work in kdebase, here it is the status/TODO.

-copyright file.
I have done a few directories, but most of the tarball is to be done. The
current copyright file is self-explanatory in what is left.

-kdm stuff
We need to integrate kdm in the same way that current kdm does.
(look at current kde debian/kdm* files and some patches)

-maintainer scripts
Take a look to the current ones, export them. Surely some of the new apps need
scripts (i.e. dolphin)

-review deps/recommends/suggests in the control file.

-some proof-reading of the descriptions would be nice as well.

Current packages at: http://people.debian.org/~ana/beta1/ (kdelibs+kdepimlibs+kdebase,
i386 only sorry) work, but the K-menu is empty, i guess because the scripts
we're not shipping yet.
You only need to install the xserver-xorg-core, kdm, xfonts-base, then run kdm,
login and you have a minimal KDE4.

A good plan would be try to upload kdebase to experimental in the next 2
weeks, before the second beta is released (around 27th august IIRC).
Then when the beta2 is released, upload new libs/pimlibs/base, hopefully they
won't need too much work and try starting with graphics, network, etc...

what do you think?

Ana
