Naming policies of non-official kde stuff

Hi!

There is some 3rd party things that it is nice to have named similarily.

For KDE3 we have
 - icons
 - widget styles
 - window decorations

Icons are named kde-icons-$NAME
Widget styles are named kde-style-$NAME
window decorations are named kwin-style-$NAME
If a source package contains both a style and a window decoration, packages 
are called kde-style-$NAME, if not split.

For KDE4 we (possibly) have
 - icons
 - widget styles
 - window decorations
 - plasma thingies
 - 3rd party kio slaves

As we only have one desktop, we can quite easily keep using the kde-
icons-$NAME, unless with the xdg icon theme spec, a KDE specifyer isn't needed 
any mor.

For widget styles, there might be some reasons for a overlap for some period 
of time with kde3 and kde4 widget styles with the same name. 
Maybe trying to decide on kde-style-$NAME to be the "kde desktop" version, so 
that packages needing both a kde3 and kde4 style to upload the style as kde3-
style-$NAME and keeping the kde4 style as kde-style-$NAME

For window decorations, as only one kde window manager is around, kwin-
style-$NAME can be kept.

kio slaves, 3rd party, could be kde-kio-$NAME, latest seen in kde-kio-ftps. 
ALternatively, kio-$NAME. There is afaik currently no such packages in debian.

That leaves plasma-only thingies.
Should they be called plasma-$NAME, $NAME-plasma, $NAME-plasma-$TYPE, $NAME, 
plasma-$TYPE-$NAME or something completely different.
for $TYPE, there is dataengine, containment, applet and a few others.
I guess my suggestion would be plasma-$NAME. 
If a source package contains a application and something uses plasma, they 
should in general be in same package, but if that is not desired, the plasma 
part can be split out in plasma-$NAME


Comments welcome. If no comments at all within the next weeks, I guess I will 
document what I will require for my packaging and sponsoring efforts, hoping 
that the rest will follow.

You can never send to the coaxial tower of a password to a monitor on a icon 
on a jumper, in such way from the folder menu inside DOS you neither must 
remove the prompt to the AGP virus, nor need to delete from a Fast directory 
of the wordprocessor in order to click a back-end.
