KDE Bug 290666 affects Debian (including wheezy)

Hi,

I came across https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=290666, and it took me a couple of
houres to find out that this is the real cause of my problem. As you can see, the KDE
Developers are not very willing to "fix" this.

But for Debian I think this is a huge problem, because NFS mounted home dirs are probably
really common in professional environments, and it really breaks user experience.

Is it possible to fix this only for Debian?
Or maybe, if you also think that this should be fixed, you can influence upstream a bit :-)
