All the work I've done with Muon so far is with the QApt backend.  Personally, 
I prefer using something specifically designed to work with Apt.  It seems to 
be working reasonably well.  The problematic bits for Debian seem to be around 
the parts of Muon that use update-manager, which is no longer in Debian.
