Well, it's not a new thing for us:

I encourage anyone who wants to know more details to dig into that bug. As you 
can see the first one was filled by myself on 2015...

...and that was exactly what we have been doing since 2015. Now in #881333 
Raphael pointed for new data and the need for GLES as one thing is having 
software-based rendering and quite another having hardware-accelerated 
rendering.
