First of all *thanks a lot* to everyone who contacted me offering help, that is
really really appreciated :-D

Good news are that after being able to run BIOS' test it simply started to work
again. In the meantime my wife and I started to think in a plan B in case it
decides to start failing again.

So for the time being I'm covered :-)
