Dear Patrick,
Kdenlive 20.12.3 contains many bug fixes including for some crashers, and I
would find it useful to include it in Bullseye.
As we’ll already be in hard freeze once the period for the migration to
testing will be over it means it will require filing an unblock request and an
ack from the release team.
Being the usual uploader of the package I’d like to know :
1/ Do you agree that it would be good to have this version in bullseye ?
2/ If yes do you plan to work on updating the package to 20.12.3 ? If not
would you like me to do so ?
3/ If the answer to 2/ is no, would you still be able to test it if I prepare
the update ? I’m not a user of kdenlive myself so I don’t feel comfortable
testing the updates, besides checking that it launches successfully.
4/ Once we have the update ready, are you OK with filing the pre-approval
request to the release team and then the unblock or would you like me do to
so ? Please remember not to upload to unstable until we get the pre-approval
from the release team otherwise it will make updates to the package much more
complicated in case we get a nack. (Maybe this is obvious to you, but I prefer
being safe than sorry.)
Thanks & happy hacking !
