Hi,

Thanks for asking :)

As I am new to packaging, I don't have a real opinion / legitimacy…
I only can say that learning a "standard" way to do makes it easy to 
follow general documentation, find answers etc.
Having a "niche" approach asks more effort for onboarding.

But as you present it, the offset here is rather minor and saves effort, 
it doesn't seem a big deal to explain that.

Sorry for stating the obvious ;)
