Hi, thanks for reporting and all the follow-up analysis.

The most probable root cause is that I didn’t correctly refresh a patch we 
carry in solid to work around some limitation in mount points handling.

I discussed it with the team and our Kubuntu kontact and since the patch is 
disabled in Kubuntu the best course of action maybe to simply drop the patch 
at this stage.

If Qt/KDE Team participants from a long time ago in a galaxy far far away have 
ideas on this, you’re input is welcome.
