What did you have identified as upstream sources?
Maybe ask Qt what sources they used?
Maybe an active fork exists somewhere?

Well if they only exists inside Qt the best would be to ask Qt what to do. We
need to clarify the maintainership for this code, to be sure who cares about
issues.
Maybe you see, why Debian don't like to use those 3rdparty libs. As if you dig
deeper you open a can of worms :)
