Tuxedo OS switching from Ubuntu to Debian testing

Hey,

it is great news to hear, that Tuxedo OS switches its base from Ubuntu to 
Debian testing. I think this a great step. Congrats to this Open Beta and I 
hope you get good feedback for this change!

I'm even more happy, as I am part of the Qt/KDE maintainer team inside Debian. 
Like you we have the same goal to package and distribute the current KDE 
Plasma Desktop for our users with the less issues as possible. I think we 
would both profit, if we start work closely together. On your side you would 
benefit to not need to manage a big patch set. Sure you may need temporally 
fixes, as we have different schedules, but lets hope those patches keep 
temporally. We would benefit from your feedback and fix those bugs early and all 
other Debian testing users and stable users will face less bugs 🙂

In the past the Qt/KDE maintainer team missed the point when the Kubuntu team 
started and it took several years for the teams to sort out issues like 
different naming schemes for packages and what not. Nowadays we have a close 
relation with the Kubuntu team and find solutions together. I hope we can build 
a close relationship with Tuxedo OS too.

A good opportunity to chat directly (English or German) is at Akademy[1] in 
Graz end of this month. I'm going to Akademy the complete conference 
(18-25.Sept) and I'll give a talk "Packaging KDE on Debian" (Sunday 20th Sept, 
14:15-14:55). I hope I see you there 😉
