Hi,

such Debian specifics are more a matter of my sponsor's opinion than
of my own. Cc-ing Dominique Dumont, therefore.

It depends on libburn which behaves different on Hurd compared to Linux.
On Linux it can operate optical drive by SCSI passthrough (SG_IO).
On Hurd it cannot (and i am not aware of a passthrough opportunity there).
Another dependency, libisofs, shows differences when it comes to reading
or writing ACL and xattr.

The use case of creating bootable ISO images is normally not affected by
these differences.

Is the described situation still suitable for Multi-Arch: foreign ?
If so: Should libburn, libisofs, and libisoburn get the same change ?

Have a nice day :)
