After setting this parameter to 'yes' it is working fine for 'root'
only. I think that it should be set by default to 'yes' because:
1. it allows only local unix connections;
2. it allows only for 'root' to connect.

Feel free to close this bug. If it is a common practice for the
reporter to close the 'not-a-bug' type of bugs please let me know and
I'll do it.
