[Pkg-libvirt-maintainers] Bug#565145: libvirt-bin: attempt to use console results in "error: internal error no assigned pty for device serial0"

Hi,

since the update to libvirt 0.7.5-3, consoles don't work any more.
Attempting to define a virtual machine with a console like

    <serial type='pty'>
      <target port='0'/>
    </serial>
    <console type='pty'>
      <target port='0'/>
    </console>

results in

error: internal error no assigned pty for device serial0

when trying to start the virtual machine.

This definition has worked up to libvirt-bin 0.7.4, and even current
virtmanager from unstable generates this type of (non-functioning)
XML. As all docs still say this is the correct way to do it, I guess
that's a bug in libvirt 0.7.5.
