Package: libvirt-bin
Version: 0.7.6-1~bpo50+1
Severity: normal
Hi,
| sookie:~# env -i /etc/init.d/libvirt-bin start
| Starting libvirt management daemon: libvirtd.
| sookie:~#
now libvirtd is not running, and the following appeared in syslog:
| Jun 3 11:32:44 sookie libvirtd: 11:32:44.295: warning : qemudStartup:1099 : Unable to create cgroup for driver: No such device or address
| Jun 3 11:32:44 sookie kernel: [260205.075146] libvirtd[10841]: segfault at 0 ip 00007f432d11a030 sp 00007fff6a1d4d28 error 4 in libc-2.7.so[7f432d09f000+14a000]
When the init script is not started with a sane environment (i.e. not with
env -i) this does not happen.
Apparently the libvirtd relies on one or more environment variables that
the init script does not set. Please fix :)
Cheers,
weasel
