Sorry, the problem was too simple that I get it only now.
The problem is with the owner of the /var/lib/libvirtd/images folder:
casseruola:/var/lib# ls -la libvirt/
totale 4
drwxr-xr-x 6 root root 55 17 mar 15:12 .
drwxr-xr-x 40 root root 4096 17 mar 15:32 ..
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 6 18 dic 2008 boot
drwx------ 2 root root 71 17 mar 15:39 images
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 24 17 mar 15:15 network
drwxr-xr-x 2 libvirt-qemu kvm 6 17 mar 15:17 qemu
casseruola:/var/lib# chown libvirt-qemu:kvm libvirt/images/
Permission denied is disappeared. The bug is probably in the debian
install script of libvirtd-bin package.
