Package: libvirt-bin
Version: 0.8.4-1
Severity: important
Fresh installed virtual machine does not start due to this error.
When I try to start it i get this error:
Error starting domain: internal error Network 'default' is not active.
Details:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/share/virt-manager/virtManager/engine.py", line 808, in run_domain
vm.startup()

File "/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/libvirt.py", line 333, in create
if ret == -1: raise libvirtError ('virDomainCreate() failed', dom=self)
libvirtError: internal error Network 'default' is not active.
If you add a new interface to the machine it saids:
"virtual default network is not active, do you want to activate it now?"
(i've translated this so maybe is not exact)
After doing it you can delete de new interface and everithing works properly.
After discover this i realized that the only problem is that network does not start automátically and y discover in /etc/libvirt/qemu/networks/ that autostar folder is empty so i added a symbolic link to default.xml
ln -s /etc/libvirt/qemu/networks/default.xml /etc/libvirt/qemu/networks/autostart/default.xml
This solved the problem. Now network interface starts automatically and the virtual machine boots without problem.
I guess that this is a bug and this symbolink link should be automatically added during the configuration of the package, but it's your call to decide it.
Thank you for your time
