This is something different. The GUI should set a remote host
to "disconnected" if it cannot connect or if the remote host
doesn't respond in time. On a second run I don't want to wait
for the unresponsive host again. Sometimes it happens that
a host is neither connected nor disconnected. The options
to connect or disconnect are both greyed out, and there is no
way to tell the GUI to forget this host. This is surely not
reasonable.
#650711 is about the GUI getting stuck for several minutes,
not doing a refresh or accepting any user input while it is
waiting for something.
