As it is set up right now, it can't. The libguestfs library has to work
together with the accompanying guestfsd daemon and that has the rather
large set of dependencies. 

Technically, the packages are only needed on the host system so the
files can be copied to the image that is created on the fly for the
virtual machine in which guestfsd runs. This is the way febootstrap
works, I can't change this.

If you send a patch, I'll consider adding something in a README.Debian
file.
