It would if these are RC bugs like security issues or daemon crashes.

I do understand that having it would be nice for users but I can just
repeat myself:

# Who's going to triage the bugs in the ESX driver, reproduce them,
# forward them upstream, request needed logs, backport fixes to stable
# or build security updates. 

I'm not planning to install ESX for that at home[1]. Bugs in that driver
might prevent testing migration among other things and I've not seen
anybody in this report who claimed that he even enabled the driver and
tested that it has the necessary functionality let alone willing to do
work on it.
