I can confirm this, upgrading from 0.8.3-5+squeeze2 to
0.8.3-5+squeeze4 is causing this regression:

open /dev/kvm: Permission denied
Could not initialize KVM, will disable KVM support

This seems related to the changes done for #701649, but I had not time
to check further.
