This wasn't part of your report. You can install an updated libvirt
too. The new python-libvirt will follow once it migrated to testing
although you don't need it if you connect from a remote machine.

I do agree but it's a volunteer effort so you could help to improve on
tis by taking the time to explain what you already tried and why it
didn't work out.
After all it's a qemu issue which is fixed by a version available in
backports.
So what about taking this to pkg-libvirt-discuss with more like an sort
out there howto install the updated versions in wheezy?
