[Pkg-libvirt-maintainers] Bug#849597: libguestfs0: Missing multiple dependencies

Package: libguestfs0
Version: 1:1.34.3-5
Severity: serious

Hi,

It seems that some utilities inside and/or outside of the appliance to
extract data and/or icons from Fedora/RHEL/CentOS and Windows are
missing.

Inside the appliance, I see the following message:

/init: line 138: ldmtool: command not found

ldmtool seems to be a "tool for managing Microsoft Windows dynamic
disks". I guess it should be copied inside of the appliance.

Outside of the appliance (on the host), when inspecting a CentOS
machine, It seems that the db-tool package should be added to the
dependencies, it is used to extract the RPM list from the VM. If this
executable is missing the introspection is completely failing with:

libguestfs: error: /usr/bin/db_dump exited with error status 1.

Also when inspecting a windows VM, I see that libguestfs uses wrestool
and also multiple tools from the netpbm package.

So, IMHO:

- ldmtool should be added to the dependencies and installed inside of the appliance
- db-tool package should be added to the dependencies
- wrestool and netpbm packages should be added to the dependencies or
  Recommends

Regards,

Laurent Bigonville
