   * What led up to the situation?
Running on Devian 8; openstack kilo; launching a VM with flavor with huge pages; libvirt version is 1.2.9-9, qemu is 2.3.0

   * What was the outcome of this action?
the following error was observed:
qemu-system-x86_64: -object memory-backend-ram,size=1024M,id=ram-node0,host-nodes=0,policy=bind: NUMA node binding are not supported by this QEMU

   * What outcome did you expect instead?
no error, VM backed up by huge pages
