I tried to cherry-pick the commit that you mentionned
(d7db33bfe978c89e1302609ac91e65be3d49379f)
on top of libvirt v1.2.9.
But i'm not a libvirt developer and there are a lot of conflicts.

So i tried compiling libvirt v1.3.1 and it produces the correct command
line, the format=raw
has disappeared.

Would you like to update libvirt to v1.3.1 then ?
