Thanks for the feedback above, I'll try to look into at least suggesting
upstream after I modified to match there better.
I'll update here once I have something that can be referred.
Since for that it will need something like a configure option for the user
so that distro's can opt-in as they want this might take me a while.
Also thanks for pointing out the group issue and I agree it might make it
worse.
I'm surely gonna fix that.
Please use correct severities for bugs.

not so much a feature request on wishlist level, but I certainly strive to
improve and match what you expect.
Really all this cleanup I try every cycle is not done to annoy you, but
instead to feed back the (hopefully) useful bits.
Believe it or not, there really is stuff I'm not sending :-)
Yet many of those changes are very old and it is sometimes hard to prepare
them much better, yet they appear useful so I want to suggest them.
The newer changes are you often already have like the testing fixes we
worked on a while ago.
