Package: libvirt-daemon
Version: 5.0.0-4+deb10u1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?
images created by vagrant (libvirt provider) and virt-manager used up too
much space

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?

virt-sparsify --in-place /var/lib/libvirt/images/debian10.qcow2
image converted to sparse format.

"virt-install --virt-type kvm --name buster-amd64 --cdrom
~/Downloads/debian-10.3.0-amd64-netinst.iso --os-variant debian10 --disk
size=10 --memory 1000" created sparse image

   * What was the outcome of this action?

space saved on /var/lib/libvirt

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

I expected to see sparse disk as default or as option in virt-manager.
