Dear Maintainers,

In about 5 days, on November 10th, libvirt-dbus will be removed from
testing due to this bug. This shall cause a catastrophic chain reaction
resulting in the removal cockpit and freedombox packages.

The issue already has a fix available, thanks to upstream and Christian
Ehrhardt. The fix is to a test case, so no impact can be expected on the
functioning of the package. Most of this fix is already applied upstream
and should be easy to review as it is just few lines. Since upstream has
not yet tagged a release with this fix, we will need to keep this patch
in Debian. If any further work is needed, such as additional testing, I
can assist.

Please make a release of libvirt-dbus with this fix as soon as possible
and prevent the removal of several popular packages.
