A few years back, sbuild used to require variant buildd chroots. That
used to be a fine choice, but since cross building became a thing,
sbuild had to install build-essential. So it learned doing it natively
and iteratively learned to deal with smaller and smaller chroots. Along
that way, I eventually minimized my build chroots and at some point
started stumbling into missing mount dependencies. You see, I don't
happen to rebuild the archive on my desktop that often. ;)
