You need to be root, eh so does this mean the install need be done as root,<br>i.e. invoke virt-manager with <br>sudo virt-manager,<br>invoking root status? to that location, do you mean /var/lib/xen/? The paravirt install failed citing permission denied.<br>I don't understand what the file /var/lib/xen/virtinst-.treeinfo._9njz refers to.<br>It doesn't exist in /var/lib/xen. Is the install trying to create it in /var/lib/xen?<br>What is the source for get_scratchdir?<br>I'd be happy to follow your suggestion through but I need to follow it.<br><br><pre>This has been improved in 0.500.1 where .virtinst/ is being used.<br><br>makes me think of libvirt allocating permissions.
