Bug#712437: clang-3.3: fails to compile anything at -O4

When compiling stuff at -O4, I get:

/usr/bin/ld: error: XXX.o:1:3: syntax error, unexpected $end
/usr/bin/ld: error: XXX.o: not an object or archive
(repeated for every object)
/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-linux-gnu/4.8/../../../x86_64-linux-gnu/crt1.o(.text+0x20): error: undefined reference to 'main'
clang: error: linker command failed with exit code 1 (use -v to see invocation)

Its libraries (from llvm-3.3-dev) come in /usr/lib/llvm-3.3/lib/ rather
than /usr/bin/../lib/
