Bug#779785: When will this be fixed?

As Sylvestre mentioned in the llvm bugtracker that complaining helps him 
prioritizing fixing this issue: I too am actually using clang and would 
like to use ASAN. TBH, I'm a bit surprised that after 10 months the 
problem still isn't fixed.
I guess the problem also applies to 3.8 which is supposed to be released 
in February?

So it would be awesome if this problem could be fixed, so I can use 3.7 
instead of 3.6 (which seems to have problems with debug symbols when 
using ASAN) :-)
