Source: llvmlite
Severity: normal
Control: forwarded -1 https://github.com/numba/llvmlite/issues/224

get_host_cpu_features() results in a RuntimeError on s390x and ppc64el:

<cut>
>>> from llvmlite import binding as llvm
>>> llvm.get_host_cpu_features()
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module>
  File "/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/llvmlite/binding/targets.py", line 62, in get_host_cpu_features
    raise RuntimeError("failed to get host cpu features.")
RuntimeError: failed to get host cpu features.
</cut>

There's an empty list returned from llvm::sys:getHostCPUFeatures on some archs. This has
been fixed upstream not to crash llvmlite, but the problem still remains.
