Status of llvm-toolchain-3.8?

Hello,

At the moment, llvm-toolchain-3.8 FTBFS with "gcc-7.2: Command not 
found" and this blocks the OCaml transition.

I see there are already bugs open related to gcc-7 (#871011 and 
#853523), but these do not have recent activity.

I also see that this package has been requested to be removed (#873331), 
but again no recent activity on this bug.

Is there any plans to fix llvm-toolchain-3.8?
