This is but the first error. When I comment out the LTO line
in d/rules the build continues for hours but then:

Requested files and full build log attached.
I still have access to the build chroot and can run arbitrary
commands in it to test things, and will keep it around for a
couple of days (or until the machine requires a reboot) for if
you have anything to ask of me. I’m out of my depth here and
will not continue things on my own now.
