I did kind of kick myself for being too quick with hitting send, my
apologies.

I have a 32 bit Buster chroot to build the i386 packages for my Buster
64 bit machine because some i386 build-dep packages don't like living
together in 64 bit. (I'm trying to get Mesa, Wine, vulkan, non-free
firmware and kernel to the latest versions possible and backporting
seemed like a good idea when I started. LLVM is needed by Mesa 19.x.)

I do it like this (https://wiki.debian.org/SimpleBackportCreation) and
use the chroot to compile unmodified Debian Bullseye/Sid packages from
their Debian sources. LLVM-9 built fine (took hours though) on AMD64
and other packages built fine in the chroot. Build-deps are installed.
I don't know where to log for log files so your help would be
appreciated. I looked in a lot of directories but nothing really stood
out to my untrained eye.

Thanks,

Matthew

ETA Humble apologies for accidentally replying to your personal email.
This is attempt number 2. It's been a while since I used Linux or
Evolution. Hopefully I got this right...
