Hello,
Curl's upstream dropped support for NSS earlier this month:
https://curl.se/dev/deprecate.html#nss
I plan on removing libcurl4-nss-dev and libcurl3-nss in the next
couple of weeks, but this can be delayed if we spot issues (seems like
it will be straightforward for llvm though).
The llvm-toolchain packages will require minimal changes to allow for
libcurl3-nss to be dropped.
d/control lists "libcurl4-dev" as a B-D, and it turns out that the
build process is linking against libcurl3-nss in some archs.
We have two options to deal with this:
1) Explicitly chose a non-nss preferred tls backend on B-D, eg.:
"libcurl4-openssl-dev | libcurl-dev,".
2) BinNMUs after curl drops the nss packages.
The first option is better for me as the dependency can be removed
earlier and it will be less work for me, but number 2 doesn't require
any actions from you (thus why this bug is being cut late).
What would be your preferred option?
Thank you,
