I cherry-picked MR #113 over 1:15.0.7-1, built it, and ran a few test
cases, including Simon's steps at the beginning of this bug report.
Everything worked as intended, addressing the issue at hand here.

The source & binary packages are on barriere:~paravoid/llvm-1032317/ if
anyone else wants to run any tests.
