Package: lxc
Version: 1:1.0.6-6+deb8u2
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
The lxc package conatain python3 package informations which aren't correct and make some versions (eg: 8.1.2) of pip to crash. Typically when lxc and virtualenv are installed doing "pip3 freeze" produce this trace: pip._vendor.pkg_resources.RequirementParseError: Invalid requirement, parse error at "'-lxc==0.'"
It came from /usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/_lxc-0.1.egg-info which set the name of the python pacakge to "-lxc" which isn't allowed.
For more context, have a look at this issue https://github.com/pypa/pip/issues/3681
