I lxc-checkpoint gives the following error:

This seems an upstream issue and was reported to
https://github.com/lxc/lxc/issues/3388
For further details, please look at th upstream report above.

In addition, the above is observed on the hybrid cgroup hierarchy, and seems
independent of Debian Bug #947335

The Debian version of the criu package is
