Hi,

HAL has been deprecated and declared dead upstream so we want to
get rid of it eventually in Debian [1].

Contrary to what debian/changelog says, there is still a Recommends:
hal. I'm wondering if this is just an oversight or if lxde still uses
HAL.
In the latter case you should consider porting it to newer interfaces,
like upower, udisks and libudev.
