I tried on my lxterminal installation, but I cannot reproduce this bug.

By the way, could you provide your local and remote locale configurations?
(In other words, what is your default locale for both your local and remote
machines and what locales are enabled on them.)

I guess it is not lxterminal's problem but maybe something on the svn
host, or some combinations make it occur.
