Yes, that was the fix I referred to also in my emails.

The reason I was reaching out on this was issue was to help the Debian
testing process (I am just testing, not depending on this).  So in
general, when I see a fix upstream, I should just wait on it coming
down? or in general it's worth making a bug report in Debian also to
follow it? What's the best way to help?
