Oi. That is not what we wanted. Having the pristine tarballs on the
*master* branch.

I suggest doing a force push of last known good
06fc1dd2d3859634a98f1105e5389e3aa4bf66d3 on master to clean this up. I
will happily do this around noon. (refraining now since I do not want
tro do this without coordinating first.)
