Sort-of.  The problem is not the default compiler in sarge, it's that
libgcc1 is now being built from gcc-3.4, and is used by packages that
are built with gcc-3.3 (which is the default compiler); however,
*source* packages move into testing all at once, so we need to wait for
the gcc-3.4 source package to move into testing before we can.  There's
nothing we can do about this, except to build them on testing and try to
upload them to testing-proposed-updates, which is highly non-trivial.
Note that *all* packages (that link against libgcc, which is almost all
binaries) built in the past ~week have this same dependency.
