Package: mailman
Version: 2.1.5-8
Severity: important
if you click the 'subscribe'-button on the web-interface without giving
your email-address, mailman returns a success message for your
subscription. that may cause lost subscriptions of unexperienced users
because they think they are (magically) subscribed, but are not.
in fact the success-message tells them about an confirmation-mail they
have to wait for, but most actually do not read the full text.
this issue seems to be fixed in version 2.1.6

Reporter says this is fixed in 2.1.6, which my testing confirms.
