You talking about postfix-to-mailman.py and qmail-to-mailman.py?

I suppose the idea behind it is that the local administrator may want
to personalise them for his local setup. So they should get the
configuration file treatment, respecting local changes and all that.

/usr/share/doc/mailman/examples? ;-)
