I tried the patch from madcoder you pointed me to, but it gave some
conflicts. I haven't have time to fix them.

I'll revert the split patches. My test so far worked correctly.
We should look into uploading it ASAP to have as much testing time as
posible before freeze.
Maybe an upload to experimental would be a good starting point.
